Dr. Boahene graduated suma cum laude from Meharry Medical College in Nashville, TN before completing a 5-year surgical traning head and neck surgery at the world renown Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. He then received fellowship traning in facial plastic and reconstructive surgery at the University of Minnesota. Dr. Boahene received the prestigious Mayo Brother's Distinguished Fellowship Award for excellence in clinical practive, teaching and research. He also received the Jack R. Anderson Award in Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery for attaining the highest score nationally on the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery certification exam. Dr. Boahene is a consultant in Facial Plastic Surgery at the Johns Hopkins Hospital and lectures nationally and internationally on topics of Facial Plastic Surgery.

She has over 15 years of experience, working in Intensive Care Units at some well known institutions like the University of Maryland Medical Center and Greater Baltimore Medical Center. Her recent experience includes marketing with the healthcare environment and the inner workings of a med spa with laser and surgical experience. When not working she enjoys spending time with her husband and 3 children. She offers a variety of cosmetic enhancement services including 3D Sculptaderm, injectables, fillers as well as the VI Peel.
